Comfort Food...


Great for these rainy days.

Macaroni -n- Cheese

Cook 1 lb elbow macaroni, drain.

Melt 1/2 stick unsalted butter in saucepan over medium heat.
Add 2c whole milk, 4T flour, 1/4t nutmeg, black pepper to taste.
Stir until thickened.
Add 1/2c sharp cheddar, shredded
1/2c monterey jack, shredded
1 1/2c American/Cheddar mix, shredded

Mix with macaroni noodles. Pour into greased 10x13 baking dish.
Top with 1/2 stick unsalted butter(melted) mixed with 1/4c Panko bread crumbs.
Bake at 350* 25-30 minutes.


I served ours with pork, green beans, french bread and applesauce.
