French Toast


We walked to the grocery store on Sunday to buy donuts, but decided on making this instead...(so glad we did!)

French Toast
Mix in shallow bowl...
5 large eggs
1 large egg white
1 1/4c buttermilk
1 1/2T vanilla extract
2t sugar
2t cinnamon
1/2t nutmeg
1/4t salt
Cut French bread loaves (16oz) into diagonal slices.
Butter 350* skillet or use nonstick spray.
Dip bread into egg mixture. Cook both sides until browned.
Top French Toast with fresh strawberries, blueberries and powdered sugar.
Serve with syrup.
